When scouting out event venues, I want you to remember...
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
Did you know that where you choose to host your event ultimately represents you? In other words, the venue will not only reflect your event, but also people will start associating that location to the quality of work your company puts out and your company's overall branding,
Above all, here are the pieces that you need to be concerned about when selecting the perfect event venue:

Let me explain why I choose certain spaces in general to host my event. At the Growth & Profitability Agency, our mission is to stay on the cutting edge. We want to be ahead of industry trends. We bring new ideas to our clients and wow them before they've ever heard of that new idea. Now when I host an event, I want that venue to have the same wow factor!
I want my guests to say things like...
"This is the coolest event venue I have ever been in!"
"How did April find this space?"
"Look at that awesome chair."
As a result, they'll all taking selfies in the different chairs... because the chairs are really that cool! Waterfalls from the ceiling! So again, I want my attendees to be wowed!
Your event venue should have the same level of the quality, attention to detail, and amazing customer service as your company. Your guests WILL align their experience with your brand! It's imperative that you make sure that it is seamless and how you want your brand to be represented.
I want them to know that this is the feeling and experience that they're going to get when they end up working with me.

If the colors of the venue are bright but your brand is more subdued - maybe your brand is more luxurious and all about the textures, grays, and velvets - you don't want to select an event at a venue that's going to have those loud, bright colors or one that is outdated and has old furnishing.
Now will your event be edgy?
I know for some of you this may be your first event so you might not really be thinking too far out of the box. However, I want you to ask yourself.. Is your goal to have people talking about how you "pushed the envelope" by choosing a space that normally would not be on an event planner's radar as an event location?
Once, I hosted a Women's Expo in a parking garage! It was absolutely one of the coolest locations ever! After that, I am not sure how I am going to top it!
In conclusion, finding the perfect event venue is not just about finding a budget friendly location that can accommodate the amount of attendees you will have. You really have to put much more weight into how it will affect, your event, your attendee experience, and your brand.
